  • Providing you with a Notarial Certificate;

  • Attending DFAT on your behalf to obtain an Apostille / Authentication (express service); and

  • Returning the completed document to you.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

This service is an end service unless your country also requires you to provide your document to your Embassy / Consulate after Authentication by DFAT.

A Notarial Certificate is issued with this service.

The DFAT lodgement fee of $105 is included in this service fee.

There will be no requirement for you to make an appointment with DFAT and wait for the Apostille / Authentication.

More Information on Notarial Certificates:

Please check if your country requires a Notarial Certificate. Some receiving authorities for international documents may be satisfied with a Notary Public’s stamp only rather than a fully legalized, sealed, and bound certificate, though this depends heavily on the destination country's requirements and the level of authentication required.

Key Distinctions:

  • Notarization (Needs Certificate): Involves witnessing a signature and verifying identity. A separate notarial certificate is typically prepared, signed, and sealed to the document if you require verification of your identity or signature. You will require a Notarial Certificate if you require an Apostille. An apostille validates the signature of the notary or the government official, ensuring the document is acceptable in other Hague Convention countries.

  • Certification (Stamp Only): Focuses on verifying that a copy of a document is accurate, complete, and true. It often does not require the same formal certificate, as the stamp on the document itself serves this purpose.

Disclaimer: Requirements for notarisation vary by jurisdiction. Always check with the receiving authority to determine if a stamp only is sufficient.
